We all know it’s construction season, and that’s certainly in full effect, but sometimes there are road closures…for FUN!
That’s the case in a couple of locations this week.
King Street between Bannatyne and William will be closed from Friday through early Monday morning for the Fringe Festival.
Also, southbound Memorial Boulevard will be closed from York to Broadway on Friday at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday at 8:00 p.m. as Folklorama kicks off!
Now that we’ve helped make your weekend plans, let’s get you through the work that could slow you down this week:
-SB Maryland will also continue to lose a lane from Ellice to Broadway that will affect your drive home until September 2nd.
-As we told you, the Louise Bridge is now closed. It won’t re-open until Sunday at 6:00 p.m.
-On Academy, lots of work is underway. Between Harrow and Wellington, traffic will be one lane and no left turns will be allowed at Harrow. This one won’t wrap up until August 17th.
-Staying with Academy, there’s also work both ways between Lanark and Cordova. Again, it will be down to one lane each way, until August 12th.
-EB and WB Graham between Fort and Main is closed to all traffic until Wednesday at 7:00 a.m. If you’re a transit user, though, buses will still be getting through.
-On EB Higgins, between McArthur to Sutherland, there will be intermittent single lane closures until Friday.
-SB McPhillips from Swailes to Beecher, the curb lane is closed for sewer work. This work isn’t due to be finished until August 5th.
-WB Notre Dame in the stretch between Arthur and Princess, the curb and second lane are both shut down for construction until July 26th.
Ongoing barricade zones:
-WB Bishop Grandin remains single file from De La Seigneurie to St. Anne’s until August.
-Traffic is also still reduced to one lane in each direction along Corydon between Niagara and Montrose until mid-August.
-WB Corydon sees some intermittent lane closures between Shaftesbury and Chalfont until Friday.
-Also on Corydon, single lane closures in both direction between Stafford and Lilac for the next month.
-NB Henderson Hwy is reduced to one lane between 9am and 3pm from Leighton to McLeod until the end of August. Two lanes are open for rush hours. Same thing from Springfield to Whellams.
-Single file continues along Inkster in two places. The WB lanes are closed from Burrows to Brookside, so two-way traffic is maintained on the WB side. From Keewatin to Sheppard, Inkster is also single file in each direction.
-WB Notre Dame from Donald to Hargrave, the two right hand lanes are closed for hydro work. Two lanes will be open for the rush hours. Also, from Sherbrook to Pearl, the curb lane is closed for construction.
-EB Notre Dame from Wall to Arlington, single lane closures continue until August.
-NB Pembina from De Leglise to De Vos, the curb lane is closed for water work until the end of the month.
-NB Plessis from Dugald to Kernaghan, the curb lane is closed for road work until Thursday.
