WINNIPEG – Manitoba Health has released a list of pools and restaurants it shut down over the past year.
This includes 25 pools and 48 restaurants that were shut down for a number of health concerns, including poor water quality, rodent infestation and operating without a permit.
Some of the stranger violations include a swimming pool in downtown Winnipeg without a working phone, a restaurant operating without any running water and a grocer in Brandon failing to provide proper lighting and handling meat that hasn’t been inspected.
Most establishments reopen after a few days although a handful have been closed for months.
