The Manitoba Government issued a boil water advisory for West Hawk Lake on Saturday, we issue questions about this on your behalf, but they don’t answer them.
So far, here’s the response to 680 CJOB’s request for more information from a communications spokesperson for the province: “Not sure anyone is available, Sustainable Development is only involved because the park is the water “supplier”.. this is extremely routine… and I would add, self – explanatory. Water is tested to be sure it’s safe.. if anything unacceptable is found, the BWA is put in place.. water is re-tested and if two samples (taken 24 hrs apart) come back ok then the BWA is lifted.”
(At the time of publishing this, we have yet to hear back from the province.)
Why isn’t the provincial communications giving us any answers? Should the province be more accountable? Taking your texts, calls and questions for the province, after 1pm: 204.780.6868.
