MANITOBA – Profits are way down this year at Manitoba Hydro.
The crown corporation has released its annual report.
It shows net income this year is $49 million; that’s more than $130 million less than the year before.
Hydro says the dip is mainly down to lower revenues and higher expenses.
A milder winter also led to less money coming in through electric and natural gas heating.
Overall revenue at Hydro was a little over 2 billion – down almost 60 million from last year.
