WINNIPEG – The MLA for Rossmere has been appointed to be the government’s new house leader.
Andrew Micklefield, who was first elected in April, takes over the job from the Minister of Health Kelvin Goertzen.
Goertzen held the position for over a decade, but he will now focus on his health portfolio.
Micklefield will also chair the legislative review committee, but won’t attend cabinet.
A formal swearing-in ceremony will take place at a later date.
