WINNIPEG – He was attacked, confined to an apartment, later died, and then his body was dumped several days later into a West End garbage bin.
Now, five people have been arrested for their alleged roles in his death.
43 year old Garnet Walter Williams was found in a dumpster on McGee Street the night of Wednesday August 10th.
Police say on July 31st, he was at an apartment nearby on Ellice Avenue with several other people. A fight broke out and he was seriously hurt.
He was kept in that apartment, and eventually died, and days later he was thrown into the dumpster.
Five arrests have been made and a slew of charges have been laid — including one person charged with first-degree murder.
Three arrests were made on Friday, August 26th.
Jeremy Lee Allen, 27, has been charged with first-degree murder.
