WINNIPEG – A grieving mom is calling on all Winnipeggers to join her at a rally today.
Bonnie Bricker’s son, Reid who was 33, disappeared shortly after being released from hospital after multiple suicide attempts. His remains were found months later.
She will be part of the event designed to change how people look at and treat mental illness in Manitoba.
“The citizens of Manitoba have to give me a reason to keep going. And that reason, is they’re going to show up and they’re going to say say we care, and we are concerned, and we need change and we will help. That’s the message. Reid’s message,” Bricker told 680 CJOB.
The rally will be held from 2-4 p.m. this afternoon at the Legislature.
