A number of Winnipeg schools are “bursting at the seams.” So, while we regularly evaluate students on their abilities and progress, is it time to re-evaluate our province’s progress – or regress – with education?
In total, there are 70 portables being used at Pembina Trails schools, and things aren’t any less crowded at the Winnipeg School Division: they have 75 portables, and the problem is only getting worse.
Winnipeg School Division president, Mark Wasyliw, says they’ve sent a list to the province of schools that need add-ons and additions. “Most of our schools are running at capacity.” So do you think kids’ education is reaching its capacity and full potential in such a state?
