WINNIPEG – A little bit of rain isn’t going to affect Sunday’s annual Sikh Parade through some of the downtown streets of Winnipeg.
Director and Spokesperson Jasdeep Devgan told 680 CJOB everything’s a go for 1p.m. this afternoon.
“Given the rain we’re hoping for the same as usual, but I think we’re looking at close to fifteen-twenty thousand people attending.”
Broadway and York will be closed starting at noon, with the parade heading northbound along Memorial to York, East to Garry, and then South bound to Memorial.
Devgan expects the parade to last about 90 minutes to 2 hours with celebrations, speeches, and plenty of food from 4-5p.m.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
