Bomber brass are expecting a sea of blue and gold at the Banjo Bowl this afternoon.
The sold-out game will see 33,234 fans in seats at Investors Group Field.
Winnipeg Football Club CEO, Wade Miller tells 680 CJOB the traditionally loud Bomber fans have proven to be an extra player on the field, making it tricky for opponents, like Saskatchewan, to hear.
“We actually track, in the stadium, you know, offsides and time count penalties. And there’s a statistical difference than other stadiums. So, it does make a difference and you’re impacting the game,” said Miller.
The Bombers and Roughriders tangle at 3:00 p.m.
Our coverage with 680 CJOB’s Bob Irving starts at 1:00 p.m.
