WINNIPEG – It’s your chance to weigh in on major changes to the way elections work in Canada.
The Trudeau government has promised we’ll get getting rid of the current voting system, called First Past the Post, before the next federal election.
There are two public forums to take your ideas: at the Radisson Hotel downtown from 3 p.m.-5 p.m. and at Dakota Community Centre in the South End starting at 7 o’clock.
The current system is often blamed for low voter turnout, with people feeling their vote doesn’t count.
Possible options for change could see you rank your first, second and third choice, or a move to proportional representation.
