WINNIPEG – A 17-year-old Winnipegger has pleaded guilty to a terrorism charge, in youth court.
The Public Prosecution Service of Canada says the teen admitted to a charge of “counselling the commission of an indictable offence at the direction of, or in association with, a terrorist group.”
In a release, it says the teen, who cannot be named, was 16 at the time of the offence.
No other details have been provided regarding the charges.
The teen is set to be sentenced at a later date.
