WINNIPEG – Police need your help in a homicide investigation from earlier this year.
They would like to speak with anyone who was in contact with Marilyn Rose Munroe between January 31st and February 22nd.
The 41-year-old Aboriginal woman was found dead on the morning of February 22nd in the 200 block of Pritchard Avenue.
Jody Albany is a family friend and she tells 680 CJOB, Munroe moved to Winnipeg from up north to make a better life for herself.
“We’re all suffering and we want to know what happened to her and who killed her,” says Albany. “It’s been really hard dealing with the grief that we have to deal with everyday. Someone taking her life has been hard on the family.”
If you know anything about her appointments, travel plans or anyone she may have met during that time period, you can call Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
