Young girls battling life threatening and chronic illnesses got to be Princess for a Day on Sunday afternoon.
It’s the 11th year for Princess for a Day, a fundraising event in support of several Manitoba children’s charities.
It took place at the Manitoba Legislative Building, or as it was known on Sunday, “Castle Chavella”.
The founder and chair of the event, Stella Mazza, tells 680 CJOB it’s a great day for the girls.
“It’s quite magical in the sense that they’re so inundated with doctor offices, and needles, and chemotherapy, and surgeries, and so forth.” She says having a day like this allows them to escape it all.
Mazza says 110 girls were transformed into princesses, 60 of whom are dealing with serious illnesses.
