WINNIPEG – Drones will soon be in the sky to help fight fires in Winnipeg.
City hall’s innovation committee has signed off on funding for the fire department to get themselves a couple drones as part of a pilot project.
It will cost about $30,000.
The drones can also be used during water rescues or on hazmat calls.
Paramedics will also get some money for automatic CPR machines that can go in an ambulance to help save people in cardiac arrest.
