WINNIPEG – The NHL is changing the way tickets are sold for special events.
Starting with the heritage classic in Winnipeg this weekend, if your child is younger than two years old, they may enter without a ticket but must sit on an adult’s lap.
If you already purchased a ticket for your child, you can get a full refund by bringing it to the box office at Investors Group Field before the start of the game.
Yvonne Peters is Chairperson of The Manitoba Human Rights Commision Board of Directors, she tells 680 CJOB, she’s happy this issue got resolved so quickly.
“We’re very pleased with this result, and I think even more pleased that it was settled very quickly. People, when they think about the Human Rights Commission, they think about filing a complaint which can sometimes take a long time.”
The league says it wants to bring its ticket policies in line with local NHL clubs and similar entertainment events.
