WINNIPEG – Premier Brian Pallister has one of the highest approval ratings in the country, according to a new poll.
The Mainstreet Research poll pegs Pallister’s popularity at 54 percent. Only PEI’s Wade MacLauchlan scores higher with 55 percent.
Nationally, Pallister’s approval is much lower – 9 percent. But the vast majority of Canadians – 87 percent – said they weren’t sure, probably because Pallister has only been in power for six months.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is still riding high with a 65 percent approval rating nationally and a 66 percent approval rating here in Manitoba.
