WINNIPEG – A crash in a residential neighbourhood in Saskatchewan earlier this year has resulted in a Winnipeg Police officer facing charges.
Twenty seven year old constable Andrew Stevenson was charged by RCMP with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle after two off-duty police officers were allegedly in a vehicle that hit a parked car on March 12th.
The exact location of the collision hasn’t been revealed although one of the off duty cops was injured.
In order to avoid a conflict of interest with the Independent Investigation Unit, Manitoba Justice asked Saskatchewan RCMP to investigate the incident.
Stevenson is expected to be in court on December 15th.
