WINNIPEG – There’s an unusually rosy financial picture at City Hall.
With just weeks to go until the new budget comes out, the City is staring down a much smaller than usual deficit.
Right now we’re only in the red by about $600,000.
There are usually millions to make up between now and the end of the year.
For example, the deficit was projected at over $5 million earlier this year after the second quarter.
Much still depends on how much snow we get as snow clearing costs tend to go way over budget.
