WINNIPEG – A pedestrian died Friday night after she was struck and killed on the south Perimeter Highway.
Manitoba RCMP said it happened just after 6:30 p.m. near Dawson Road.
Mounties and officers with Winnipeg Police were called to the area for reports of someone walking on the highway near Dawson Road. The report suggested the person was walking alone in the westbound passing lane.
While en-route, police received another call reporting the person has been struck by a vehicle.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. There is no information on the victim’s identification or what may have led to the fatal collision.
RCMP say the driver is co-operating with police and they are not pursuing charges.
