WINNIPEG – Fixing our roads should remain the top priority when the city’s budget comes out next week, according to an online survey that asked Winnipeggers which city departments should get the biggest share of the pie.
Public transit and snow removal rounded out the top three choices.
Another question asked where the city should get the money to do its work.
Increased funding from other levels of government was the most popular choice there.
This year’s budget comes out on Tuesday, one day after the throne speech at the Legislature.
