WINNIPEG – Eric Comrie did everything he could to get his team a win Tuesday night, not allowing a goal in regulation.
Unfortunately for Comrie, he got no run support as the Iowa Wild got a 1-0 win in overtime.
“I felt pretty good. Started off with a couple lucky posts, then I think he got a couple lucky posts,” explained Comrie, who made 34 saves in the loss. “That kind of happens when you get shutouts, you need a couple breaks, and unfortunately they got the last break.”
The biggest storm Comrie weathered was a second period in which he made 20 saves. Alex Stalock made 28 saves for the shutout in the opposing net.
The two teams meet again Wednesday night at MTS Centre, coinciding with the Jets-Wild game in Minnesota.
