WINNIPEG – RCMP are turning to the public for clues in the 2007 killing of a grandmother in Portage La Prairie.
Charlene Ward was discovered dead in her home more than nine years ago.
On October 31, 2007, Ward went out with friends to Cat & Fiddle Nite Club in Portage La Prairie.
She then returned to her home with friends for a party that ended at 8:00 AM the next morning.
Ward’s body was found about 45 minutes later in her home on 5th Avenue NE.
RCMP ruled Ward’s death a homicide but to date, no one has been arrested.
Officers believe someone has information related to this crime and are asking anyone who can help find Ward’s killer to contact them at the RCMP tipline at 204-984-6447 or call Manitoba Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
