WINNIPEG – The hunt continues for a suspect following a hit and run, involving a stolen car back in October.
It happened at 10:30 p.m. on October 25 a stolen car swerved and smashed into a bus shelter on Pembina Highway near Southpark Drive.
Winnipeg Police say a 63 year old man was standing in the shelter and was struck. He was taken to hospital in critical condition, but was updated to stable and is still recovering.
Officers believe the suspect even checked on the victim before taking off.
The 2007 white Mazda 5 Wagon was stolen from the St. Boniface area, but police have now recovered it.
The suspect is described as male, approximately 17-years-old, aboriginal in appearance, slim build and short dark hair. He was observed wearing dark pants, black and white t-shirt and a black wrist band.
