WINNIPEG – A fatal stabbing in Winnipeg’s Central Park area has police hunting for a suspect.
Emergency crews were called to the scene at Kennedy Street and Sargent Avenue Tuesday at 11:00 p.m. and found the victim with serious injuries.
He later died in hospital and has been identified as Clarence Ignace, 25, from Winnipeg.
An arrest warrant for second-degree murder, along with additional charges, has been issued for Tyron Custer Harper, 23, in connection with the investigation.
“I don’t know the exact nature of their relationship, but it is not believed by investigators that it was random at this point,” said Const. Rob Carver.
Harper is not be approached, but anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call investigators at 204-986-6508 or CrimeStoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
Harper is described as Aboriginal, 5’10”, weight 200 lb.
