WINNIPEG – The city says some of their departments will be slowed on Tuesday due to the dumping of snow we’ve received.
Winnipeg Transit is expecting some delays and disruptions on Tuesday morning. Transit recommends that users give themselves extra time, and that they check the schedules before heading out, either by calling 311 or online at winnipegtransit.com
Also, Handi-Transit will only be accommodating dialysis patients and other medical appointments. Those who use Handi-Transit are asked to cancel all non-essential bookings by calling 204-986-5711.
Also, garbage and recycling pick-up was postponed on Monday and will resume again on Tuesday at 7 a.m. Crews will work to catch up through out the week. You can call 311 for more information on this.
Finally, the city says emergency vehicles will also be slowed down due to the weather. The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service is experiencing longer response times right now.
