WINNIPEG – Two decomposed bodies found in a house in Wolseley are at the heart of a murder trial beginning on Monday.
A police officer told court there were flies and maggots in the bedroom of a suite on Chestnut Street in September 2013.
The bodies of 19-year-old Eunice Crow and her boyfriend, 31-year-old James Sinclair, were discovered in a pool of blood.
A copper pipe was also found on the staircase of the rooming house.
Jeffrey Kionke was arrested in 2014 and is charged with two counts of second degree murder.
Prosecutors will rely on his statements to police.
They say he made ‘admissions’ to officers.
The trial is expected to last three weeks.
