OTTAWA – Manitoba is down to just one MP in Justin Trudeau’s cabinet.
MaryAnn Mihychuk from Kildonan St. Paul has been booted from her post as Labour Minister.
That leaves only Winnipeg South Centre’s Jim Carr in the Prime Minister’s inner circle. He keeps his job as Minister of Natural Resources.
Trudeau shuffled the deck in his cabinet Tuesday afternoon.
Veterans Stephane Dion, and John McCallum are both out.
Dion, a former Liberal Leader, had been in charge of Foreign Affairs.
He’s released a statement saying he’s leaving politics altogether.
McCallum handled the arrival of thousands of Syrian refugees as Immigration Minister.
He has taken the post as Canada’s Ambassador to China.
