WINNIPEG – There was a large police presence in the West End on Monday afternoon.
Officers had blocked off Toronto Street between Ellice and St. Matthew’s Avenues and seemed to be focused on a house on the west side of Toronto.
Marked and unmarked police cruisers were on scene, along with the Tactical Support Unit.
One man was seen handcuffed by police and being placed in the back seat of a cruiser.
An ambulance was on scene as well.
It’s unclear what exactly police were doing there, but reports from the scene suggest firearms were involved.
