WINNIPEG – An arrest has been made in a chilling homicide that saw bullets flying at a busy Winnipeg intersection.
Two men were shot while driving near Donald and Stradbrook early on a Saturday morning in late November.
Thirty two year old Theodoros Belayneh died whilt the other man survived.
Now a 23-year-old woman is charged with first degree murder and attempted murder and is also facing drug charges.
Winnipeg Police Constable Rob Carver was asked if some sort of gang or drug conflict played a role in the killing.
“I think it’s safe to assume that there was a criminal element overshadowing this investigation,” says Carver.
Carver says the investigation continues and more arrests are a possibility.
Paige Crossman is currently being held in custody.
