WINNIPEG – Retired police chief Devon Clunis will be receiving a high honour tomorrow.
Lieutenant-Governor Janice Filmon will present Clunis with the Award for the Advancement of Interreligious Understanding.
He’ll receive it in a ceremony at Government House at 5 p.m. tomorrow.
“Clunis leads with compassion and integrity, and has the gift of being able to unite our community across cultures and beliefs,” Filmon says in a release. “His non-judgmental approach continues to effect change throughout our community, inspiring us to continue to work in furthering Manitoba as a home for all people.”
The award is presented each year to someone who “embodies understanding between all religious groups.’
