WINNIPEG – Police are asking you to keep an eye out for a man wanted for three recent assaults.
The attacks happened Tuesday morning: one on York Avenue near Smith Street, one at Broadway and Edmonton, and the third just across the Osborne Street bridge.
Police say all three appear unprovoked and all three targeted women, and at this point in time they are looking for a single suspect.
“We’re leaning in that direction right now, but until we identify and get this individual into our custody, we can’t say with 100 per cent certainty,” explains Constable Jason Michalyshen. “But that’s the direction the investigation is heading in right now.”
Police say the suspect is a man with long blonde hair, roughly six feet tall, possibly wearing a dark jacket with reflective stripes.
“We want people to be mindful of their personal safety. Think about where you are,” Michalyshen continues. “If you see an individual approaching you, or conversation begins and things are escalating, causing you to have concern, remove yourself from the situation immediately.”
If you think you know who this is or have spotted the man, police want you to call detectives at (204) 986-6668.
