WINNIPEG – Two teens have been cuffed after a number of recent robberies involving a machete in North Kildonan
On January 29, police say one of the suspects ordered a pizza with the intent of robbing the delivery driver. When the driver arrived to a residence on Oakview Avenue, both suspects confronted and robbed the driver.
The next day, two men agreed to meet up with the suspects on Leighton Avenue after seeing an online ad for an iPhone.
The victims were robbed of cash by the suspects, one of which had a machete.
To help solve the case, investigators set up a sting operation after seeing another online ad for an iPhone.
On Wednesday they arranged to meet in the same area as the previous robbery. The suspects arrived with a machete and pellet gun, and were promptly arrested.
A 15-year-old and a 17-year-old face a number of charges.
