WINNIPEG – A violent robbery spree targeting grocery and convenience stores around Winnipeg has led to the arrest of a 39-year-old man.
Police are telling us about five different robberies between August and yesterday morning.
At least four of the store owners or employees were assaulted and the suspect allegedly made off with cigarettes each time.
The latest alleged robbery was on Corydon Avenue. Police arrived to make the arrest and saw the suspect in a stolen pickup truck.
The suspect tried to fight the arrest, assaulting an officer before he was finally subdued.
Frankie Patrick Landon is facing a long list of charges and is in custody at the Remand Centre.
