WINNIPEG – Premier Brian Pallister’s approval rating has taken a bit of a hit over the last three months.
A poll conducted by the Angus Reid Institute indicates that 45% of Mantobans support the premier, down 5% since December.
However, that still leaves him as the second most popular premier in Canada, behind Saskatchewan’s Brad Wall whose approval rating is at 52%.
Angus Reid surveyed thousands of Canadians from every province to determine how they feel about their provincial leaders.
Ontario’s Kathleen Wynne had an abysmal showing with only 12% support, the lowest out of any premier.
In fact, the only premier whose popularity increased was Philippe Couillard of Quebec.
He saw a bump of 5%, which placed him just behind Pallister as third most popular premier in Canada.
