WINNIPEG – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have added three young international players to their roster ahead of their upcoming mini camp.
Running back Kendall Roberson, defensive back Brandon Alexander and linebacker George Stone have all been signed by the Bombers.
Roberson, 23, attended East Texas Baptist and had a career senior year, rushing for over 1,600 yards and 24 touchdowns. His best effort came against Belhaven University, where he rushed for 420 yards, the 8th-most rushing yards in a single game in NCAA history.
Alexander, 23, walked on at Central Florida and played in 49 games, racking up seven interceptions, 139 solo tackles and four fumble recoveries.
Stone, 22, spent two years at Stephen F. Austin and played in 22 games, starting 13 of them. He made 111 total tackles, had one sack, two interceptions, a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.
It’s unlikely any of them will make the final roster but they will have a chance to compete for at least a practice roster spot in the coming weeks.
