WINNIPEG – The rain on the weekend washed away some of the sand and salt left on Winnipeg’s streets from the winter, and now the city will send out equipment to help the cleanup go a little faster.
For the next few weeks, the street sweepers will be out in full force, beginning downtown Tuesday.
Major routes, bridges and overpasses will be the top priorities.
The city will also be placing “no parking” signs on the scheduled streets during their cleaning times.
You could face a fine or even have your vehicle towed if you park where you shouldn’t.
