Jets Prospect - WHL Player Of The Year
The Winnipeg Jets  prospect   forward Adam Lowry has been  named WHL Player of the Year for the 2012-13 season. He was drafted by the Winnipeg Jets in the third round, 67th overall, in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, Lowry played in 72 games with the Swift Current Broncos of the WHL this season.  He led the team with 88 points, 45 goals and 43 assists. He also played in nine games with the St. John's IceCaps of the American Hockey League this season collecting one assist and signed a contract with the Jets on April 16, 2013.

Jets Prospect Invited To U-S Men's National Team
The Winnipeg Jets have announced Jets prospect Jacob Trouba has been invited to the 2013 U.S. Men’s National Team Training Camp. The team will compete at the International Ice Hockey Federation Men’s World Championship May 3-19 in Helsinki, Finland and Stockholm, Sweden. Trouba  played in 37 games with the University of Michigan Wolverines during the 2012-13 season.   He  recorded 29 points,  including 12 goals  along with 88 penalty minutes. Trouba was named to the 2013 CCHA All-Rookie Team determined by a vote of the conference’s head coaches and was also named Best Offensive defenceman for the CCHA. Trouba has won three medals for Team USA during his career,  including  a gold medal at the 2013 World Junior Championships in Ufa, Russia. He was originally drafted by the Winnipeg Jets in the first round, ninth overall, in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

JET's Season Ends
The Winnipeg Jets were  eliminated from the playoffs before the third period started Thursday night versus Montreal when Ottawa and the New York Rangers won their games in overtime. The Jets then saw a 2-1 lead turn into a 4-2 loss to the Canadiens to bring their season to an end. Forward Blake Wheeler who scored his 19th goal of the season  shared his  thoughts  after the game.  "I'm sick of it,  I'm sick of going home right now,  and I think we have a lot of guys that are sick of going home right now." James Wright had the other Jets goal.  The team finishes the season in 9th spot in the Eastern Conference.
