Vancouver Canucks President & General Manager Mike Gillis announced today that the Canucks have signed forward Bill Sweatt. In keeping with club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Sweatt, 21, led Colorado College in scoring in 2009-10, registering 33 points (15-18-33) in 39 games. He has recorded 109 points (46-63-109) in 143 games with Colorado College.
The 6’0” Elburn, IL native won a bronze medal with Team USA at the 2007 World Junior Championships. He was awarded Top Forward at the IIHF U-18 World Championships in 2006, collecting seven points (5-2-7) and capturing gold with Team USA.

The Manitoba Moose will play a pre-season game in Portage la Prairie this fall.
The Moose will play the Abbotsford Heat at the PCU Centre in Portage la Prairie Saturday, October 2nd at 7 o'clock.

The Manitoba Moose announced today they have signed left winger Shawn Weller to an American Hockey League contract.
Weller, 24, appeared in 31 games with the Abbotsford Heat last season. In that span, he collected 12 points (8g & 4a) along with 19 penalty minutes. He also played in three Calder Cup Playoff games with the Heat where he accumulated two points (1g & 1a) while racking-up 14 penalty minutes. The Manitoba Moose, AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, today announced today they will not be offering a new contract to Mike Keane.
In his fifth season as Moose Captain in 2009-10, Keane, 43, appeared in 75 games where he scored nine goals and 22 assists for 31 points. In six Calder Cup playoff games last season, Keane collected two points and two penalty minutes.
