Canada Border Services calls it the largest narcotics seizure at the Coutts crossing so far this year. Officers say an Alberta man arrived at the border crossing last Thursday and was referred to agents for further examination.
A detector dog sensed some drugs were in a wooden barrel and that's when officers uncovered six kilograms of cocaine.
Lisa White with the CBSA says so far no charges have been laid, but adds the investigation is ongoing.
