The plug has been pulled on a major carbon capture and storage project in Alberta.  In its first-quarter fiscal update, TransAlta says "Project Pioneer" will not proceed.  The project was a joint partnership between TransAlta, Capital Power, Enbridge and the provincial and federal governments.  Officials say they are disappointed but they now know the technology works and that there is a future for carbon capture and storage.  The project was worth a reported $1.4-billion.
