A Calgary energy company has announced a big donation to help create the Western Heritage Trail through Stampede park.
The 1.5 million dollar donation from Cenovus Energy will be used to built the trail which will be part of year round public space on the east side of Stampede Park. The 310 metre trail is being designed as an open-air museum, highlighting Calgary's western heritage. It's part of the new Riverfront Park that will eventually serve as the new home to Indian Village.
