B-C Premier Christy Clark is using a meeting of the premiers to push for talks with Alberta and the federal government on the Northern Gateway pipeline. Clark says she supports the oilsands in Alberta, but there are limits on the amount of risk B-C is willing to accept on the Enbridge pipeline project.
She wants a piece of royalty money from Alberta to guarantee approval of the pipeline, which would carry heavy oil from Alberta to a port in Kitimat, B-C, for shipment to Asia.
