Calgarians are tallying up the damages after another wild windstorm rolled through the city yesterday afternoon. The storm hit just minutes after a severe thunderstorm warning was issued for the area. The strength of the storm caused a flood of calls to 911 dispatchers, and over 90 minutes Calgary Fire crews responded to downed power lines, trees and power outages, as well as a semi-trailer that ended up on it's side. Some scary moments for a pair of window washers who were working 20 storeys up at 5th Ave. and 7th Street when the storm hit. The wind was whipping them around so forcefully they eventually broke a window from the outside to get into the building. A number of flights departing from the Calgary International Airport were also delayed. The storm hit less than 48 hours after a major hail storm that caused millions of dollars of damage in the city.
