A vehicle collision involving a farm animal and a tree near Wetaskiwin last night has left one passenger dead, and the drive inured.
Wetaskiwin RCMP says crews responded to single vehicle collision around 9:45pm Friday night, about 7 KM north of Wetaskiwin on Secondary Highway 814 and Township Road 472.
They say the vehicle was traveling southbound on Highway 814, where it lost control. The car then went through a neighbouring fence, hitting a farm animal before crashing into a tree.
When EMS crews arrived, they found passenger Jennifer-Lynn Clemens, dead at the scene. The 17 year-old driver, whose name has not be released, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The two other passengers suffered non-life threatening injuries.
