It's no Ottawa, but Edmonton does rank fairly high on MoneySense Magazine's annual list of the top cities in Canada.
Ottawa is in the top spot for the third year in a row. Burlington, Ontario and Kingston, Ontario are in second and third place.
Edmonton made it to the eighth spot - and is the top place to live in Alberta.
Economic statistics, climate and crime rates are used to determine the top cities in the country. Other Albertan places on the list are Red Deer in spot nine, Strathcona County in eleventh and St. Albert in twelfth spot.
Calgary was fourteenth and Lethbridge rounds out the top 25.
When it comes to the best places in the country to find a job - Alberta dominates the top five. Strathcona County is first, followed by Red Deer, St. Albert, Calgary, and Edmonton. (blb)
