Luckily for students at the Richard Secord Elementary School, the sun is shining today.
It would have been a chilly back to school Monday after nearly half of the schools windows were smashed over the weekend.
Police arrived at the school, located in the Royal Gardens neighborhood at 40th Avenue and 117th Street Sunday morning, to find about 40 of 88 windows smashed.
Once inside, the vandals smashed the school photocopier. Police have no suspects so far.
Classes are in session, as work is being done to repair the damaged windows. (bu)
