A head-on collision west of Edmonton has left one person dead.
The crash happened around 5:30 Thursday morning on Highway 627 between Range Road 271 and 272, southeast of Spruce Grove.
RCMP say a westbound gravel truck and an eastbound pickup truck collided.
The driver of the pickup died on scene while the driver of the gravel truck was taken to hospital in Stony Plain.
Spruce Grove/Stony Plain RCMP, K Division Traffic Analysts, and Parkland County Patrol are all investigating. (ks, lk)
