A Hamilton kid has signed with the Leafs.
23-year old Spencer Abbott, who played this season with the Maine Black Bears in the NCAA, agreed to a deal this afternoon.
Abbott is a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award which is handed out to the top US college player.
This year with Maine he picked up 62 points in 39 games.
Abbott played his Jr. A hockey with the Hamilton Red Wings.
