Saying he always wants to put the team's needs first, the former number one goalie for the Vancouver Canucks has agreed to waive his no-trade clause, if that's what GM Mike Gillis wants.
"......I don't want to be one of those guys that's going to stand in the way of anything. I mean, um, I always want to put the team ahead of me first and I don't want to be one of those selfish guys and, like I said, there hasn't been any decisions made, but over the course of the next little while, we'll be talking with Mike and we'll make that decision."
Luongo says he's pleased with his performance over the years.
But he says he regrets not being able to lift the Canucks past Boston last year.
